 Get to Know Roger Arsenault

Roger became licensed in 1997 after completing a 22-year career in the Canadian Armed Forces. After selling for a few years, he realized that his true passion was in helping other realtors, so he became an office manager with a competitor of MaxWell. In 2009, he arranged a lunch meeting with Dick Oakes (co-founder of MaxWell Realty), and after learning that Dick did not have his retirement plans in place, they began to make the ownership transition a reality. This transition involved a move to MaxWell Canyon Creek in 2010 to assume the role of Broker.

In 2013 Roger got married to his wife Dee McLellan in Maui, Hawaii. Every April, they return (except for 2020 & 2021) to celebrate their anniversary. They enjoy travelling, whenever possible, and spending time with friends & family.

Roger is positively encouraged by how the real estate industry has transpired over the years and ensures that he does his very best to keep current with all changes, including being active on Social Media to bring awareness to the brokerage and MaxWell Realty. Recently, it was mentioned that he is the most active and positive contributor to many Facebook pages and groups. He certainly understands that Social Media is essential to not only REALTORS® but to brokerages as well.   As a long-time Broker and instructor of the Real Estate Associates Program, he has been on many committees at RECA, AREA and CREB over the years to help provide his insight into the real estate business. Keeping a good rapport with other Broker/Owners within the industry is very important to Roger to ensure that there is immediate mutual respect between him and the other Brokers when there is a need to discuss transactions.

He is very thankful for the strong support team at MaxWell Canyon Creek with Andrea Wittig as the Associate Broker/Manager, Laura Rempel in Administration and Tess Vostner-Bell in Conveyancing. Brokerage growth has always been important, and there are plans in the works for additional changes to bring increased awareness to the MaxWell Canyon Creek office. We are incredibly fortunate to have a large group of original REALTORS® with MaxWell Canyon Creek, but we are very proud that there have been many new and experienced REALTORS® that have joined the office over the past number of years.

Roger is a proud supporter of MaxWell Realty and was fortunate to attend the launch of the NEW MaxWell Realty in Edmonton in 2017. After meeting the current ownership group, led by Bill Tarrabain, he was immediately behind the NEW team. He is very supportive of all the positive changes brought to all brokerages to assist all REALTORS® better. As an owner, he looks forward to being with MaxWell for many years to come and be part of all offices' continued growth.
